Athena Devlin is a professor of English at St. Francis Colleges where she co-directs both the American Studies and Women’s Studies programs. Dr. Devlin received her B.A. from Barnard College and her Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is the author of Between Profits and Primitivism: Rehabilitating Middle-Class Manhood in America, 1880-1917.
