Worn Stories

Emily Spivack’s Worn Stories showcases clothing-inspired narratives from cultural figures and talented storytellers, revealing the clothes that protect us, serve as a uniform, assert our identity, or bring back the past. Brain Pickings’ Maria Popova, who celebrated the book as a 2014 favorite, interviews Spivack. Artist Andrew Kuo and other book contributors share their stories.

This event is free and seating is first-come, first-served. Doors will open at 6pm. Books will be available for purchase with a 15% discount. Continue the conversation over dinner and drinks! Russ & Daughters Cafe welcomes Tenement Talks visitors. Those with proof of purchase of a book will receive a 10% discount that evening only.
