A Hero’s Journey

The Hero’s Journey is a proven narrative that has been with mankind since stories began. Whether it’s killing a witch with your house, throwing a ring into a volcano with your buddy, or having your Dad cut your hand off as you scream “NOOO!” — every hero has a journey they must go on.

Matt Dennie & Vincent Moore will honor and present the Hero’s Journey live onstage in its entirety with every stage of the monomyth you know and love as well as “amazing” special effects and a “million-dollar” budget*.

Matt Dennie
Matt is a comedian, actor, and writer originally from Washington state. He is a performer on the improv team Higgins at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre. He also hosts the alternative comedy showcase COOL SHIT/WEIRD SHIT which can be seen every month at the UCB East Village. He’s written and performed in two sketch shows at UCB: MANEATER and GUMP and he’s directed numerous shows there as well. He can be seen around town doing standup and storytelling. Matt has appeared on MTV, Funny or Die, Comedy Central, Above Average, and created the IFC Comedy Crib series “How Sh*t Works.” He was named a “Comic to Watch” by Time Out NY a few years ago!

Vincent Moore
Vincent Moore is an actor, writer, and improviser based out of New York City. An active member of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre community, Vincent performs improv regularly with his team, Higgins, as well as the hip-hop improv show, Take It Personal. He also hosts the character panel show, Best Answer, where he asks ridiculous trivia questions to a panel of characters performed by some of the best comedic minds in the city. His sketch show, Planet World: A One-Manimal Show, recently finished its run at the UCBT Chelsea. Outside of performing live sketch comedy and making videos for his YouTube channel, Vincent can be seen running around the city taking pictures of bananas for his website, Bananas of New York, which is like Humans of New York but with, you know, bananas. He’s also been seen on Funny or Die, Comedy Central, and Late Night with Seth Meyers. For more information about him and stuff and things, please visit his website: www.vgmoore.com.
