A Lot On The Mind: Epilepsy

WED // NOV 28 // 7:00 PM

Come join us for a night of educational and theatrical fun while learning about some of the most misunderstood and stigmatized neurological disorders! Each month we’ll highlight a different neurological disorder and address the science behind the disorder, research being done in that field, and the stigmas patients face, featuring performances from patients themselves.

This month: Epilepsy

Would you know what to do if someone had a seizure? Join BraiNY and Epilepsy Foundation to demystify this disorder, which has been long referred to as the “sacred disease.” Come learn what an epileptic seizure is, what it looks like, and then workshop your proper first aid skills. We’ll hear from a scientist about his recent research in the epilepsy field. We’ll end the night with a poetry reading from the original works of Alyssa Damico, detailing her experience with epilepsy.

Doors: 6:30pm / Show: 7:00pm

Tickets: $15 adv / $20 door
