A Trip to the Moon: The Films of Georges Méliès

Magician-turned-film director Georges Méliès translated his love of the fantastical into some of the most enduring pieces in the history of cinema. A pioneer in the use of special effects, Méliès led many early technical and narrative developments, and this film, his best-known work, is considered the first science fiction film. Using vintage 16 mm films, collector Denny Daniel leads us on a visual journey through Méliès’s world.
