Activist Artists Today

We cordially invite you to join artists Mel Chin, Sue Coe and Dread Scott, and moderator Amei Wallach, on Wednesday, January 18, for a discussion of “Activist Artists Today.” The doors open at 6:00 PM, and the talk will begin promptly at 6:30 PM. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to [email protected] by January 13.

Continuing the tradition of activism pioneered by American artists in the 1930s, Mel Chin, Sue Coe and Dread Scott use their work to inspire progressive political change. The panel discussion complements our current exhibition, You Say You Want a Revolution: American Artists and the Communist Party (on view through March 4).
