In honor of International Day of the Girl on Sunday, Oct 11th, Girl Powerful, a youth empowerment nonprofit designated to five tween girls the mental tools to build strong sense of self, has teamed up with actress Charlotte McKinney at PlateFit in Brentwood for a fitness event. Classes are open to the public for $30 per person and 100% of proceeds from the class will be donated to sponsor underserved girls. There are two classes available: 1pm + 1:30pm PST.

The Girl Powerful Philosophy & mental health curriculum is based on socio-emotional learning (SEL) and is endorsed by L. Edmondson Ed. D.. The program helps girls develop the tools to build a strong sense of self through socio-emotional learning (SEL). Sand Sisters designed the Girl Powerful™ curriculum using SEL to help prioritize a balanced life for tween girls and increase their academic performance, social well-being, and build positive self-esteem.
