All of the Sky: Five Poets, Five Saturdays
The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum’s special feminist poetry series, All of the Sky: Five Poets, Five Saturdays, continues Saturday, August 6. The program is a live in-person event featuring readings by five noted contemporary female poets reflecting on the role feminist writers, artists, and leaders have played in their practices, and is organized in conjunction with the current exhibition, 52 Artists: A Feminist Milestone.
This Saturday’s talk features Rosebud Ben-Oni, and runs from 4 to 5 pm.
Born to a Mexican mother and Jewish father, Rosebud Ben-Oni is the winner of the 2019 Alice James Award for If This Is the Age We End Discovery. She is also the author of turn around, BRXGHT XYXS and the chapbook 20 Atomic Sonnets. In 2017, her poem “Poet Wrestling with Angels in the Dark” was commissioned by the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York City. She teaches poetry at Catapult, The Speakeasy Project, and the UCLA Writers’ Program.
