Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company

Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company will present a program of works by Eleo Pomare and company artistic director Enrique Cruz DeJesus, November 17, 7 PM, at the Capezio Theater at Peridance, 126 E 13th St.    The Company, founded in 1972, boasts a vast repertory of dances by minority choreographers.   On Nov. 17 they will perform two major works by the late Eleo Pomare: his 1967 “Las Desenamoradas,” based on Lorca’s “The House of Bernarda Alba,” and “Tabernacle,” inspired by James Baldwin’s book The Fire Next Time.  By DeJesus is his “Bittersweet,” about a relationship that is wearing thin, and “Tormenta.”
