American Chordata Issue 8 Launch

Join us for an evening of readings and revelry in celebration of American Chordata‘s fourth birthday and the launch of their eighth issue!

American Chordata is a literary magazine that’s beautiful to look at; packed with exquisite stories, poems, essays, art and photography; and curated by weirdos who love brave new writing as much as you do. Having managed to survive for four whole years, this birthday also feels like a graduation—so many reasons to come celebrate the launch of their new issue!

Issue 8 features zombie movies, overdoses, passive-aggressive sticky notes, passive-aggressive cats, ever-traumatic family dynamics, deeply creepy misunderstandings among friends and lovers, our first ever work in translation, and a rock stuck in a shoe.

Readings of poetry, prose, and translation by Devereux Fortuna, Robert Smith, Annabel Lang, Marshall Yarbrough, and T.J. Smith.
