AmpLit Fest

LITERARY FESTIVAL RETURNS TO RIVERSIDE PARK

Lamprophonic, the popular literary event producer, has partnered with the illustrious Summer on the Hudson, Riverside and West Harlem Piers Parks’ annual outdoor arts and culture festival, to create the second annual AmpLit Fest, a literary festival in Riverside Park. AmpLit Fest will take place Saturday, June 10th, 2017, from 12 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. in Riverside Park South (at W 70th Street).

Bringing together New York’s finest literary talents in one all-day event, AmpLit Fest will celebrate writing through readings, panel discussions, and writing workshops, with the Hudson River as its backdrop. Participants include award-winning writers like Katie Kitamura and Emily Holleman, and recent debuts such as Miranda K. Pennington and Jeannie Vanasco.

Clare Smith Marash, Lamprophonic’s Founder and Director, states, “We’re thrilled to be back along the Hudson for a day of literary fun! At AmpLit Fest, people can discover new artists, discuss the craft of writing, and will have the opportunity to explore their creative side through our pop-up workshops. Adding this to Summer on the Hudson’s tremendous roster of events reminds us of this city’s deep commitment to the arts, a commitment we share and hope to enhance by bringing lesser-known writers along side established stars to celebrate New York’s rich literary culture.”
