Please join the Historic Districts Council and Urban Archive as we celebrate the addition of HDC’s collection of over 200 Six to Celebrate neighborhood sites onto Urban Archive. In this one hour program you will receive a tutorial on how to use the Urban Archive platform. Urban Archive is a collaborative mapping platform that encourages people to interact with the city as a living museum. HDC and Urban Archive share the goal of inspiring people to engage with history in the present through photographs and thoughtfully researched historic content. Now, users of Urban Archive are able to access all of our Six to Celebrate content, which contains years of research about buildings and sites in historic neighborhoods all over the city. The sites are organized into tours which are available for free on the Urban Archive app and website. We are excited that this content will be discovered by new audiences, and will bring continued awareness to the wealth of historic resources that our city has to offer.
