Artist Shirin Neshat and writer Jori Finkel will be in conversation on the occasion of their new books. Finkel is the author of It Speaks to Mewhich features 50 leading artists discussing artworks of their choice, including Mark Bradford on Mark Rothko, David Hockney on Edgar Degas, and Shirin Neshat on Alice Neel. Shirin Neshat: I Will Greet the Sun Again is the monograph accompanying the artist’s largest exhibition to date, organized by the Broad. Covering thirty years of her career, the book offers a rare glimpse into the evolution of Neshat’s artistic journey as she explores topics of exile, displacement, and identity.
