An ESES Seminar Series presents Speaker Dr. William Koshak, from the Earth Science Office, NASA-Marshall Space Flight center in Huntsville, AL.
A software analysis tool was developed to examine the changes in cloud-to-ground (CG) lightning over a region slightly larger than the lower 48 states and District of Columbia during the years 2003-2011. These changes are compared to available statistics on lightning-caused impacts to various US economic sectors.
