Astro Café: Dr. Shawn Phillips, Chief, Rocket Propulsion Division at the Air Force Research Laboratory

Dr. Shawn Phillips oversees all research, development and testing at the Rocket Lab, a facility that encompasses over 65 square miles and 19 major rocket test stands. He has served at the Air Force Research Laboratory, which leads the discovery and development of warfighting technologies for the Air Force, for over 17 years. He holds 10 patents and has contributed more than 38 publications in technology fields. After the presentation, stargaze with the Amateur Astronomers Association of New York on the flight deck (weather permitting).

Doors open at 6:45pm, and the presentation will begin at 7:30pm.

Astro Cafe is free, but registration is required.

Registration will begin on September 23 at noon (EDT).
