In August, we are joined by Rob MacKay, a longtime, award-winning community journalist, as he discusses his latest book, Historic Houses of Queens – a detailed visual exploration of the borough’s most notable residences, their architecture, owners, surrounding neighborhoods, peculiarities, and even their fates as some vanished due to financial problems, urban development, gentrification, and fires.
