Authors at Grand Central Tech: Tim O’Reilly

Silicon Valley’s leading intellectual and the founder of O’Reilly Media, Tim O’Reilly, will discuss his newest book, WTF?: What’s the Future and Why It’s Up to Us, on January 11, 6:00pm at Grand Central Tech (GCT).

Tim will delve into why we have far too much dismay towards today’s economy, and why technology bears some of the blame. In this combination of memoir, business strategy guide, and call to action, Tim explores the upside and the potential downsides of today’s “WTF?” technologies.

Grand Central Tech hosts a monthly author series open to its community of entrepreneurs and the general public. Located in midtown Manhattan, GCT is home to one of the largest concentration of startups — 110+ companies employing 1,400 people — under one roof, in the country.

GCT’s goal is to foster a robust community of startups and entrepreneurs that truly reflects the fabric of New York by supporting the development of an inclusive, diverse, and sustainable technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem and creating pathways to access for underrepresented communities in tech.
