Author’s Night – “Out in Time: The Public Lives of Gay Men from Stonewall to the Queer Generation”

You are cordially invited to attend an exciting evening with NYAM Fellow Perry N. Halkitis, PhD, MS, MPH as he talks about his newest book OUT IN TIME: The Public Lives of Gay Men from Stonewall to the Queer Generation (Oxford University Press, June 3, 2019). Dr. Halkitis’ book presents a nuanced personal account of the realities and challenges faced by three different generations of gay men – the Stonewall, AIDS, and Queer generations.

Guided by vast research on gay identify formation and coming out, OUT IN TIME demonstrates how early life challenges shape gay male identities and communities and is a moving historical account of what it has meant to come of age as a gay man in America.
