Two hundred and fifty years after parts of the first major battle of the Revolutionary War were fought on what is now Green-Wood Cemetery, the historic grounds mark the anniversary with their largest Battle of Brooklyn event to date.
The afternoon features costumed interpreters, civilian and soldier stories, diverse perspectives on the battle, and a special parade and commemoration ceremony. Programming spans all ages and is developed in partnership with institutions across New York City.
Part of Brooklyn 250 and Battle Week, organized by the Old Stone House. Free admission; registration recommended. Suggested donation $5 per person.
