Belonging – Featuring Nora Krug

Nora Krug was born in Karlsruhe, Germany decades after the fall of the Nazi regime, but the Second World War cast a long shadow throughout her childhood and youth. In her new work Belonging, Krug has created a visual memoir—equal parts graphic novel, family scrapbook, and investigative narrative—where she wrestles with how the sensibilities and identity of one generation pass on to the next. She will be joined by filmmaker Sarah Kamaras (The Podkamieners) for a conversation about using art to explore complex, deeply felt histories.
