Best Gay City in the World? Yaniv Waizman Speaks About Tel Aviv

As a part of our Israel 2.0 series, we welcome Yaniv Waizman to the JCC stage for a conversation and cocktail party. Waizman discovered that he was gay while serving in the Israeli army, and he is now the adviser to the mayor of Tel Aviv on LGBTQ issues. He calls Tel Aviv “the best gay city in the world,” and he outlined his journey to promote it as such internationally.

He’s also the founder of Israel Gay Youth (IGY), a non-profit that promotes tolerance and opposes discrimination against the LGBTQ community, as well as encouraging LGBTQ teenagers and young adults to lead the way in building a more tolerant society.

Come hear about Waizman’s journey, Tel Aviv Pride, and where Israel stands on gay rights as we enjoy a moderated conversation Waizman. Open bar and light bites to follow the conversation. This conversation will be moderated by Jayson Littman, founder of Hebro and leader in the LGBT Jewish community in NYC. Open bar and light bites to follow the conversation.
