The Schomburg Center, in partnership with Atria Books, Emotional Justice Unplugged, WBAI, and BET, presents Shirley Sherrod, author of The Courage To Hope: How I Stood Up to the Politics of Fear. Sherrod became a household name in 2010 when the National Media labeled her a reverse racist. She was accused of discriminating against white farmers; condemned by the NAACP, the Tea Party, the Obama administration, CNN, Fox, and a whole host of news outlets--and ultimately forced to resign. Join Sherrod for a provocative and powerful conversation with NYC Radio host, playwright, and award winning international journalist Esther Armah.
