Black Rodeo: An Evening with Photojournalist Ivan McClellan

From rodeos to ranches, Ivan McClellan has traveled across America documenting the lives of extraordinary individuals within Black cowboy culture. His work challenges stereotypes and misconceptions, while celebrating this unique and often overlooked community as an integral part of African American heritage. Based in Chester County, PA, McClellan’s photography sheds light on marginalized aspects of Black culture, offering a fresh perspective that confronts racial assumptions and redefines identity in America.
