When German Jewish psychoanalyst and novelist Hans Keilson, called one “of the world’s very greatest writers” (Francine Prose, The New York Times Book Review), died at the age of 101, a diary was found among his papers that covers the nine months he spent in hiding with a Dutch resistance group.
