Book Launch: Mean Men by Professor Mark Lipton

Join us for an evening of celebration in honor of Mark Lipton‘s new publication, Mean Men, with a panel of leaders and experts on the preservation of America’s self-made man.

Mark Lipton, professor at the Milano School of International Affairs, Management and Urban Policy, author, and c-suite adviser, will lead the conversation around the themes of his new book.

Steve Jobs, Dov Charney, Lance Armstrong, Donald Trump. Each one has reached the pinnacle of American success. What else do they have in common? They’re known for being mean. Drawing on Lipton’s extensive experience as adviser to major corporations, start-ups, government agencies, and not-for-profits, Mean Men synthesizes decades of psychological research to expose what really drives this subset of America’s leaders. As surprising as it is alarming, the book reveals dark truths about a psychological disorder that rules many of our boardrooms, and challenges the status quo with a more effective humanistic approach to leadership.

Panelists:

M. Gerard Fromm– is a psychoananalyst and organizational consultant.

Vanessa Fuhrmans– is a staff reporter at The Wall Street Journal.

Sylvia Bashevkin– is a professor in the Department of Political Science at University of Toronto.
