Book Launch: “Out of It” – Selma Dabbagh

In her debut novel,Out of It (Bloomsbury USA, 2012), British Palestinian writer Selma Dabbagh examines her people’s tragic past and conflicted present through the prism of one family’s experiences. Depicting modern-day Palestine through the lives of the Mujahed siblings—twenty-seven year old twins Rashid and Iman, and older brother Sabri—Dabbagh creates a textured portrait of what it’s like to inherit a conflict.

The Arabic edition, translated by Samer Abouhawwach, is due out with Bloomsbury Qatar Foundation Press in December 2012.
