Bread + Kraut | Fermentation Workshop
The art of fermentation is fundamental to the human experience. This mysterious craft has enabled people to thrive for thousands of years before the advent of modern food processing. In this workshop, we will make sour kraut from scratch and each participant will leave with a sour dough bread starter to nurture, along with a book of recipes! Pre-registration is encouraged to ensure adequate materials!
Derek Rusinek is a permaculturist, ecologist and farmer living in Brooklyn, New York. He has spent the last year in California, practicing systems-based agro forestry and is an avid fermentor!
