Can We Identify Bipartisan Common Ground That Will Deliver Quality and Safe Medical Care to All Americans?

Experts in law and medical services will discuss the possibility of achieving quality health care for all Americans, independent of partisan politics, at the eight annual Pegalis & Erickson lecture at New York Law School.

Topics will include health disparities and burdens, legislative and policy challenges, and potential new models of care and payment. In addition, Dr. Irwin R. Merkatz will be honored for his extraordinary achievement in advancing quality health care and safety for women and children.

The event is organized by New York Law School’s Patient Safety Project, which works to promote patient safety in medical care by serving as a valuable teaching resource and starting an open dialogue among medical care providers, risk managers, physicians, medical students, insurance providers, and lawyers.
