Caringkind Hosts Educational Meeting for Family Caregivers in Spanish

Spanish-speaking New Yorkers are invited to attend a special educational meeting, “Understanding Dementia: What You Need to Know and Where to Go” hosted by CaringKind,  NYC’s leading experts in Alzheimer’s and dementia care for more than three decades.  CaringKind is formerly known as the Alzheimer’s Association, New York City Chapter.

The free meeting designed for family caregivers will be conducted entirely in Spanish and is designed for family and friends who are caring for people with Alzheimer’s or dementia.  It will provide helpful information about the disease and introduce caregivers to the free resources and Spanish language services that are available to help them cope with present challenges and future planning. The meeting is NOT appropriate for people with dementia.

Presented by Ana Araujo, LMSW of CaringKind, the meeting will take place at the Covello Senior Center in East Harlem, New York.  Seating is limited.  Pre-registration is REQUIRED. Please call the CaringKind 24-hour Helpline at (646) 744-2900 to register.
