CaringKind Hosts Special Educational Meeting in Manhattan: “Legal & Financial Seminar”

Manhattan residents are invited to attend a special educational meeting, “Legal & Financial Seminar” hosted by CaringKind, NYC’s leading expert in Alzheimer’s and dementia care for more than three decades.  CaringKind was formerly known as the Alzheimer’s Association, New York City Chapter.

The free meeting is designed specifically for family and friends who are caring for people with Alzheimer’s or dementia.  These seminars are designed to acquaint families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias with legal and financial issues associated with planning for the long-term care of their relative. An attorney who specializes in elder law will discuss important topics family members should understand before meeting with their personal attorney. Topics to be covered include:

  • Power of Attorney
  • Health Care Proxy
  • Long-Term Care Insurance
  • Joint Bank Accounts
  • Guardianship
  • Medicaid Eligibility

An attorney who specializes in elder law will lead the meeting which will take place at CaringKind in midtown      Manhattan.

Seating is limited.  Pre-registration is REQUIRED.  Please note that this meeting is NOT for individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia. It is recommended that you attend CaringKind’s “Understanding Dementia Seminar: What You Need to Know and Where to Go” meeting before you attend the “Legal & Financial Seminar.”
