Cartoon Carnival 70: Going Places

Animation historian and film archivist Tommy Jose Stathes brings out more cartoon rarities from the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s from his extensive 16mm film archive for this month’s installment of the Cartoon Carnival series. The theme will be weekend getaways and international travel. Featuring nearly two hours of rare cartoons shown on “reel” film with characters like Farmer Alfalfa and Mutt & Jeff, Charlie Judkins providing live ragtime piano accompaniment for silent-era cartoons and refreshments available from the venue.
