Catching the Sun Film Screening and Discussion with Shalini Kantayya

Grand Central Tech (GCT) will be hosting a screening of Catching the Sun and a follow-up discussion with the director of the film, Shalini Kantayya.

Kantayya is a Sundance Documentary Film Fellow, a TED Fellow, and a finalist for the ABC Disney | DGA Directing Program. Her debut feature film, Catching the Sun, captures the global race to lead the clean energy future through the stories of workers and entrepreneurs in the U.S. and China. The film premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and was named a New York Times Critics’ Pick. The film released globally on Netflix on Earth Day 2016 with Executive Producer Leonardo DiCaprio, and was nominated for the Environmental Media Association Award for Best Documentary.
