Cellist Marza Merophi Wilks

Peruvian-born cellist Marza Merophi Wilks is based in Los Angeles, CA. The Juilliard graduate has toured with the Sphinx Virtuosi and has performed with Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra of St. Lukes, and the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra. She is a featured soloist on the Grammy-Nominated album Ruggles, Stucky, & Harbison: Orchestral Works. Wilks has a strong passion for community engagement and shares her music with underrepresented communities. As a part of this mission, she founded the Peikko Quartet, a group of talented young Black and LatinX musicians.

This online performance is presented by The National Arts Club, in partnership with the Sphinx Organization, as part of a series of classical concerts featuring outstanding young Black and Latino musicians.
