Fifteen-year-old Frida is the misfit at her middle school in the small city of Gjøvik, a class outsider that all the other kids agree is “so weird.” Martin, on the other hand, does nearly everything he can to be exemplary — though often overburdened by his success. When they’re paired up as study partners, Martin sees it as an opportunity to prove what a great guy he is, until he realizes that Frida has no intention of being “fixed” by the class golden boy. As she challenges him and puts his patience to the test, sparks begin to fly, creating a turbulent relationship that also becomes something exciting, challenging, and completely new for both.
