WORLD SCIENCE FESTIVAL

City of Science: Hands-on Science Activities for You and Your Kids

WALK ON WATER. DEFY GRAVITY. POWER A MOTOR WITH MIND CONTROL. Don’t miss out! Join the World Science Festival and Con Edison for this larger-than-life, touring event where the wondrous properties of science, technology, engineering, and math collide. The day is jam-packed with interactive demonstrations, hands-on activities, tours of the Astrophysical Observatory, and enormous exhibitions up to 20 feet tall. There will even be an opportunity to learn how to power a motor with mind control!

This year, kids can also take part in some super cool free apprentice programs where they get the inside scoop on how scientists work. There will be opportunities to learn from expert animal trainers from the Staten Island Zoo, use scientific instruments to collect data on animal movement, study the unusual behaviors of the naked mole-rat, and much more.

City of Science is FREE and open to the public.
