Cognitive Radio for First Responders

Prof.Shemik Sengupta, a RaCERS-affiliated researcher and faculty member at the College, will discuss his ongoing research in development of hardware and protocols for cognitive radio. He will provide an introduction to the field, and discuss challenges to implement cognitive radio in the field. This promises to be an authoritative talk on the future of public safety radio communications. Sengupta recently received an early career grant from the National Science Foundation to advance his work.
