The young cellist Sterling Elliott has been featured soloist with the New York Philharmonic and the Cleveland Orchestra, as well as at the 2019 World Economic Forum in Davos. In 2018 Elliott was a featured soloist with the Sphinx Virtuosi at Carnegie Hall. Elliott will be the first recipient of The National Arts Club’s Herman and Mary Neuman Music Award. This event is being held in collaboration with the Sphinx Organization and WQXR, and will include new works by American women composers.
