Join NYPL for the latest in a series of panel discussions exploring AI, presented in collaboration with Women TechExchange.
How do we prevent AI from reinforcing historical biases in hiring, lending, and policing? Panelists will discuss the challenges of providing “good” data, how to demand better representation in training models, and what it will take to accomplish an equitable AI future that isn’t limited to a privileged few.
Conversations About AI is a series of panel discussions that aims to make sense of how AI might affect your daily life, whether you're a professional, small business owner, artist, parent, student, or simply curious. You’ll hear about what’s changing and come to understand both how it impacts your work and community and some practical steps you can take to keep pace and be more equipped to navigate what’s ahead.
Please be advised that seating is first come first served and photographs will be taken at this event. If you prefer not to be photographed, please let our staff know at check-in.
This event is part of a series presented by The New York Public Library in collaboration with Women TechExchange as part of the Library's AI Literacy initiative.
The “Conversations about AI” series is made possible by the generous support of Google.org.
