A Corona Works Presents “Thorns of the Crown”

Alessandra Corona, former 12-year principal dancer with Ballet Hispanico, presents her A Corona Works in the world premiere of “Thorns of the Crown” by choreographer Ramon Oller, who was inspired by his early studies of works by Shakespeare as a young actor in his native Barcelona. His dramatic new work does not tell a story, but rather deals with universal emotions, including ambition, power, and of course, love. Music is a blend of traditional Medieval selections and original compositions by contemporary composers Thomas Lentakis and Bruno Axel.  Corona and Oller will both appear, joined by a stellar company of dancers: Mariacarmen Garcia, Michael Bishop, Nicholas Montero, Nick Burrage, and Alexandre Barranco.
