Covering Fascist Italy – American Correspondents and Regime Censorship

David Kertzer will discuss Mauro Canali’s research on the files of the fascist police and censorship commission that oversaw the activity of US correspondents in Italy from the 1920s until the end of World War II. The View from America, to which this documentary investigation provides an eloquent background.

Mauro Canali is professor of Contemporary History at the University of Camerino and specializes in the history of the Fascist control and police system.
