For the first time, BAM is partnering with Shared_Studios to bring the “Portal” to the outdoor bazaar. The DanceAfrica Portal is video-communicating space in which New Yorkers will meet Kigali-based Rwandans in real time and have conversations on a wide-range of topics, some curated, some spontaneous. The Portal will be staffed to facilitate dialogue and provides language interpretation if necessary.
