Dancing in Blackness: Halifu Osumare and Ntozake Shange

Dancer, choreographer, and scholar Halifu Osumare will present Dancing in Blackness: A  Memoir, in conversation with poet and playwright Ntozake Shange, who will read from her new collection, Wild Beauty: New and Selected Poems of Ntozake Shange.

This event will be held at Hunter College’s Roosevelt House and is co-sponsored by the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies, the English Department, the Dance Department, Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College; IRCPL at Columbia University, and Shakespeare& Co.
