Dare to Matter / To Kill a Mockingbird

Aaron Sorkin, Jeff Daniels, Celia Keenan-Bolger, DeRay McKesson, Jordan Kassalow, Neil Blumenthal, Rabbi Jennifer Krause

Join us for an extraordinary night of conversation and impact.

First, at 7 pm, Jordan Kassalow, co-founder of VisionSpring and author of the new book Dare to Matter: Your Path to Making a Difference Now; DeRay McKesson, civil rights activist and host of Pod Save the People; and Neil Blumenthal, co-founder and co-CEO of Warby Parker, talk with Dare to Matter co-author Rabbi Jennifer Krause about how to build a just world in a world that’s never needed us more. What are you meant to do? Where do you start? How do you stay engaged? From Ferguson to rural Mexico to the City of Brotherly Love, their paths will move you from thought to action.

Then, at 8:30 pm, Aaron Sorkin, Jeff Daniels and Celia Keenan-Bolger discuss their Broadway smash hit To Kill A Mockingbird with DeRay McKesson. What made them want to adapt Harper Lee’s masterpiece for the stage? What if Atticus Finch weren’t the hero this story? How has Harper Lee’s legacy changed since she published her landmark novel in 1960? Sorkin and Daniels, longtime collaborators, will grapple with these questions and more in what promises to be an unforgettable conversation.
