De-Mystifying Yoga & Meditation

What is the true meaning of yoga and what actually happens to our mind, bodies, and emotions when we engage in a yoga and meditation practice? In this session, we will de-mystify yoga and meditation by exploring the actual meaning of yoga, discussing the different types of yoga and meditation and its intended effects, and diving into the psychophysiological impact of engaging in a meditation practice.

Kathy Chen is a former advertising director turned meditation teacher, writer, and humanitarian. After almost a decade of working in the New York City corporate scene, she called quits on that lifestyle and moved to the Himalayas in northern India to train with Vedic masters from a 5,000-year old meditation lineage. She is the founder of The Vedic Meditation Foundation, a non-profit that is dedicated to teaching the most vulnerable in our society to meditate.
