Design Talk with Marimekko Designer Mika Piirainen

We invite you to join us for an in-depth look at the iconic Finnish design house’s bold stand on fashion and lifestyle dating from the 1950s till today. In the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Finland’s independence, the Marimekko Pre-Fall 2017 collection was inspired by Finnish art, architecture and folklore, and how the influence of Finnish nature can be seen in the country’s culture overall.
Mika Piirainen, Marimekko Designer, will be joining us from Marimekko’s HQ in Helsinki, Finland, where he has worked with ready to wear and print design for nearly 3 decades.
A reception of cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres will take place in conjunction with a presentation by Mr. Piirainen.
