Drunk Science: OUTER SPACE

Drunk Science is an event hosted by comedians Joanna Rothkopf (staff writer at Jezebel), Shannon Odell (neuroscience PhD candidate at Weill Cornell) and Jordan Mendoza (once was pre-med). In each show, three intoxicated comedians compete to present the best scientific dissertation to a panel of real scientists.

Dr. Emily Rice
Emily Rice is an astronomer and assistant professor in the Dept. of Engineering Science & Physics at the College of Staten Island, faculty in Physics at the CUNY Graduate Center, and resident research associate in the Dept. of Astrophysics at the American Museum of Natural History. Her research focuses in the study of mass stars, brown dwarfs, and exoplanets by analyzing their spectra and modeling their atmospheres.
