The National Lighthouse Museum and the America’s Boating Club (US Power Squadron, Established 1914, Staten Island Club) have teamed up to present a Basic Weather and Forecasting seminar on Earth Day, April 22, 2018. This seminar could be a lifesafer for boaters and a valuable resource for weather enthusiasts. 

Topics covered are as follows:
  • Air Masses and Fronts
  • Highs, Lows and Winds
  • Mid-latitude Storms
  • Tropical Storms and Hurricanes
  • Clouds
  • Thunderstorms
  • Fog
  • Beaufort Scale
  • Forecasting
  • Forecasting Tips
  • Internet Weather Resources

The cost is $15 for Museum members and $25 for guests. A certificate of participation will be presented at the conclusion of the seminar.
