We are now continuously beset by newspaper headlines and TV newscasts about the potential pandemic spread of Ebola and Enterovirus-D68 into New York City in the near future.
The immediate question that arises is: how well prepared are healthcare delivery systems and hospital facilities in New York City to deal with outbreaks of these contagious diseases? As a part of the New York Society for Health Planning (NYSHP) continuing theme this year on “Integrated Healthcare Delivery System Models” for New York City, we have brought together a panel of experts on pandemic emergency management in NYC hospitals to discuss current preparations in New York to contain and treat these diseases in a future pandemic environment.
Location: PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Auditorium, 300 Madison Avenue (corner of 42nd Street), New York, NY 10017
