Join Dr. Gary Hermalyn, noted historian, author and CEO of The Bronx County Historical Society as he presents the story of author Edgar Allan Poe and his time in The Bronx. A gifted writer with a life as evocative as his stories, Poe spent his last years in a small cottage just north of the current Bronx Library Center.  In what was then a bucolic setting he penned many of his most enduring works, including “Annabel Lee,” “The Bells” and “The Cask of Amontillado.” The Edgar Allan Poe Cottage has been managed by The Bronx County Historical Society since 1975.
