Eileen Gray: Pioneering Early Modern Design POSTPONED

ADSNY’s celebration of the Year of the Woman continues with an exclusive, early evening curator-led tour of Bard Graduate Center’s upcoming exhibition exploring the total oeuvre of Eileen Gray––the first of its kind in the United States.

In addition to affirming Gray’s accomplishments as an architect and a designer, this insightful tour, led by Curatorial Assistant Emma Cormack, will shed light on the full sweep of Gray’s career, including her work as a painter and photographer.

Sign up today to see this exhibition, which is largely based on new research, including plans, drawings, sketchbooks, photographs, and letters, that reveal how Gray designed her most famous house, E1027, and other architectural projects. We will see previously unexhibited furniture and lacquer works, as well as photography, rugs, and archival materials from her best-known projects.

This exhibition has been organized by Centre Pompidou, Paris, in collaboration with Bard Graduate Center.
